Green Digestive Lemonade

Healing your gut always requires an elevated water intake which some struggle to achieve. That’s why I decided to share a recipe of this refreshing green lemonade that will add up to your daily water intake.

Packed with gut healing properties found in the coriander which can cleanse and detoxify, it also includes fabulous fennel that contains anethole, an oil which stimulates the secretion of digestive and gastric juices, helping to reduce inflammation.

Ingredients

Makes 1 serving

  • 1/2 small fennel bulb
  • 1 apple
  • 1 lemon, peeled
  • 1 handful of coriander leaves
  • leaves from 4 mint sprigs
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1/2 tsp probiotic powder (optional)

Excluding the probiotic powder, place all the ingredients in an electric juicer or blender and blitz. Stir in the probiotic powder.

To make this a longer drink add 500ml of water.

Nutritional Information per serving: kcals 61, Protien 2.5g, Carbohydrates 11.3g of which sugars 11.3g, Fat 0.5g of which saturated 0g.
